Kerano tops Beatport charts! The pole position is a first for India
History has been made and how! Kerano, a Delhi lad, has topped the Beatport charts and is repping the immense talent that India brings to the table. This is a first for any Indian artist and he has beaten the likes of Axwell, Thomas Gold and Kaaze to snatch the honour. His track, ‘Breathing’, is a collaboration with Dutch duo, Magnificence, and is a spirited number that took the pole position within two days of its release on Spinnin records.

Kerano was born and raised in Delhi with an inclination for music from the very beginning. He has been a drummer since the age of 4 which explains the use of the sick kickdrum basslines on his tracks. Kerano is not an alien to the Beatport top 10 though. He had a collaboration with Tom Swoon ‘Here I stand’ that hit No 4 on the progressive House charts. The Delhi launda has garnered support from across the corners of the international dance music community including Tiesto, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Afrojack, Dash Berlin, W&W, and R3hab.
The video documents the making of the track and gives us a sneak peak into his production process. It’s all about the incredible highs and lows and struggles in the lead up to the big release. It is fair to say that the track has made history and the spotlight is now on what the duo will come up with next to top this.
Kerano is on a high and for his upcoming anticipated release is building up the suspense with a mystery Armada collab. Breaking into the Beatport is no mean feat and has definitely caught the eyes of promoters across India. Kerano is now on a ‘Breathing success tour’ with a jam packed schedule and performances lined up at Kitty Su, Mumbai, Mambos, Goa and many more lined up.
