Samarpanam of the senses, A night of Carnatic music

It is going to be a night of beautiful music. A journey into the rich cultural tradition of Carnatic music at Gayan Samaja, KR Road in Bangalore. The master composer and renowned Carnatic singer will be performing live, at the 3rd annual cultural festival hosted by the universe art foundation.

He is an adept musician and has a wide repertoire of his compositions to his credit. He is truly a treat to witness live as he keeps the crowd engaged with his thillanas, bhajans, and abhangs. He is also extremely versatile and has mastered both Southern Carnatic and Northern folk styles. His mix of classical traditions and range of experiences make him a delight to watch.

He has performed across the world spreading the Indian Carnatic tradition and has been conferred the prestigious Sangita Kalanidhi title by the music academy and later the Padma Bhushan for his efforts.  He has performed at the Adelaide International Festival in Australia (Perth, Adelaide, Sydney) and New Zealand. He has also performed in countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Bahrain and Sri Lanka and has managed to introduce the classical tradition to large international audiences.

The evening will celebrate the Universe art foundation’s 3rd annual festival and will honour Sri Madurai TN Seshagopalan for his efforts at popularizing Carnatic music and his notable achievements in the field.
