Sabir started playing at an early age under the guidance and supervision of his uncle Ustad Nasir Khan. Ever since Sabir has taken the X axis towards progressing on his skills. He has shared the stage with Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pt. Kumar Bose, and Pt. Anindo Chatterjee. He has also played with artists like ghazal maestro Ustad Gulam Ali, Talat Aziz, and Asha Bhosle.
