Get ready to swing and dance to the foot-tapping beats and music of Aaja Nachle, Let’s Dance and Rock tha Party, with our favorite band, Bombay Rockers, who are celebrating 5 years of After 8 Events with their India tour on August 14, 2015 in Pune and August 16, 2015 in Bangalore from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am.
The Danish/Indian band, Bombay Rockers, is very popular among Indian fans and is well-known for mixing English and Indian vocals in a fusion of hip-hop, pop and exhilarating Indian music especially Punjabi music with Bhangra all over it.
They are one of the most successful Danish Music Export acts of all time.
Indian singer Navtej Singh Rehal (Naf) had no idea that their musical collaboration will become the talk of the town and will soon spread to the rest of the world, when he was introduced to the Scandinavian producer-team WCA (Thomas Sardorf and Janus Barnewitz) in 2002.
They started their journey by mixing a hybrid of R&B, Hip Hop and Bhangra-influenced vocals, that was a true representation of their musical backgrounds. Ever since, Naf has been delivering the Punjabi vocals with Thomas, performing the English vocals.
Their first track that was recorded was “Ari Ari”, and it got them massive national airplay all over Denmark. For the Leftfield DJs, they became a favourite. Bombay Rockers debut live concert in July 2003 at the Roskilde Festival with the house duo Filur was in front of a massive crowd of 25,000 people.
Their next follow-up “Sexy Mama”, got released in late 2003. This was the first official single from their album “Introducing”. This track received rave reviews from all over the country. In 2004, with the single “Rock tha Party”, they had a major breakthrough.
Bombay Rockers debut album “Introducing” was released in over 32 countries worldwide in 2005-2006, and in India, they became superstars overnight. “Introducing” was followed up in 2007 with their next album “Crash And Burn” with smashing hits like “Kushi” and “Out of control”.
In 2008, the band featured on the smash hit “Nach Lay” by the rap duo Overseas. Their new album “Rock and Dhol” was released worldwide on iTunes on March 21 and the CD got released on March 29, 2011 in India. The album consisted of 12 tracks and was a mixture of electronic, pop and dance music.
The album is topping the pop charts with blockbusters like “Lets Dance”, “Nava Nava” and “Ishq”. These are immensely popular among the young fans due to their partying tempo.
