Alternate rock sensation, Alt- J, took music enthusiasts by storm on their maiden tour to India in February 2015 as part of the Emerge Music And Arts Festival.

The headliners were Alt-J, Grammy-Award nominee, and Daniel Waples, virtuoso hang-drum player featuring The Petebox and Parvaaz, Bangalore’s rock-outfit.

They performed to a sold out venue of over 6000 people in Bangalore and understandably so, chose to come back to India after the unfortunate weather in Delhi on the 1st of March.

Alt-J is slated to play at the Emerge Festival on the 21st and 22nd along with singer- songwriter Prateek Kuhad and Delhi outfit Advaita.

As Alt-J fans are already aware, the band has a strong indie and alternative vibe. A sound that is a result of necessity due to making music in their dorm rooms. ALT-J band member Gus Unger-Hamilton has said, “We can’t wait to come back to India. Our first trip there was incredible and we’re looking forward to seeing our fans out there again at the Emerge Festival.”
