Yoga has grown so popular around the globe that the United Nations declared 21 June as the International Day for Yoga. This announcement came soon after Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi spoke about the immense value and power of Yoga on 11 December 2014.
For celebrating the International Day for Yoga, a series of events have been organized all across the country on 21 June. And if you are in Bengaluru, here is an event that you cannot afford to miss.
Organized by the Akshar Power Yoga Academy, this event would be a massive gathering of Yogis at Tripura Vasini, Palace Grounds where the attendees would spend the day indulging in yoga and meditation. Through this event, Akshar Power Yoga Academy seeks to spread awareness about the importance and power of yoga and meditation in healing.
International Yoga Day Bengaluru 2015 at Palace Grounds would be more than just yoga and meditation as the participants would be singing songs, saying prayers, hymns and chanting for peace. Apart from this, they would be performing various asanas and yogas under the guidance of esteemed teachers from Akshar Power Yoga Academy. The event would start at 6 am on June 21, 2015.
