Nise Gel Goa Marathon 2015 the annual event is back again to raise charity for the homeless. The Goa Marathon, which attracts participation in huge number from across the globe is organized in various categories that includes a category for half marathon, 10 K and a Dream Run of 5 KM, which is open for anyone over the age of 12.
The Nise Gel Goa Marathon charity run is organized for the cause of providing Homes for the Homeless and Hope for the Hopeless. The biggest marathon event, is open for runners of all levels, from the first time marathoners to veteran racers, runners, run-walkers and walkers.
Organized by the El Shaddai Charitable Trust and Habitat for Humanity India, and is supported by the Goa Athletic Association and is counted among the most exciting marathons in India. Here is your chance to enjoy the scenic beauty of the beaches in Goa and get fit by running the distance of the marathon, while you contribute for a wonderful cause.
The Goa Marathon is being organized along the River Mandovi and is offering the best opportunity to donate for the cause of humanity. Every penny collected through this event would be used to build safe homes for people from marginalized communities and to bring happiness and hope to the underprivileged children of society.
El Shaddai Charitable Trust and the Habitat for Humanity are partnering to host the Nise Gel Goa Marathon 2015 on March 1, 2015 for the fourth consecutive year and this year the charity marathon has three primary aims laid out as the goals that need to be achieved from the funds raised and they are to provide:
Safe and decent homes for families in need
Sanitation facilities for target communities
Educational centers for children in Goa and the Konkan region
The Goa Marathon 2014 was a great success with over 2000 students, corporate executives and defense personnel participating in the event to test their mettle on the 21 km, 10K, 5 km and school run, which started and ended at the Campal Ground.
The charity marathon was supported by a media campaign that succeeded in creating a buzz across Goa and also attracted spectators besides participants. The 2015 edition promises to be better and even bigger with an aim to reach 4000 participants and raise even more funds for the objectives stated above.
