Savaan-e-Hayat, a theater play, directed by Mohammad Ali Baig, would be performed at Ravindra Bharathi as part of the Qadir Ali Baig Theater Festival 2014. Savaan-e-Hayat is a biographical spectacle that is based on the life of the Queen of Golconda. She holds a unique place in world history.
The play seeks to trace through the inspiring life story of the Qutub Shahi Queen, Hayat Bakshi Begum who is renowned across the world and has a special presence for herself in the world history for being the daughter of a king, wife of a king, mother of a king and a de facto empress herself.
‘Savaan-e-Hayat’ features some of the best actors like Rashmi Seth, while Mohammad Ali Baig usually is seen playing a triple role in the play. The play by Mohammad Ali Baig is a sequel to the much-acclaimed spectacle ‘Quli : Dilon ka Shahzaada,’ which is based on the life of Hayat Bakshi Begum. The play is based on the love-legend of the founder of Hyderabad poet-prince Mohammad Quli Qutub Shah and his beloved Bhagmati and was first performed at the Golconda Fort to a packed audience.
