For making the weekend special get ready for the Dog Marathon in Pune, which will be organized on November 23, 2014. This Dog Marathon would take place at the Raga Lawns, Off Pingale Road, Annex North Koregaon Park, Mundhwa, Pune. The main objective of this event is to share the complete earnings for the rehabilitation and betterment of street dogs. This is the first ever Dog Marathon in Pune, where you can encourage the dog lovers and owners to walk their dogs on the streets for a good cause.
This event will be followed by a ‘PET’ fair, which is an entertainment section and consists of grooming sessions, tricks show, fun games and engagement activities. The main aim of this is to ensure a full enjoyment of the dogs, which are very restricted in our society and we don’t even have gardens or parks where they can enjoy. The VET association of Pune, with more than 50 doctors, will organize free health camps and consultation, which will be the main highlight of this event. This camp includes free vaccination specifically for rabies and to bring all street dogs, which need attention, onto one platform. It also helps the owners, who are unable to support the daily health checkups for their dogs.
This rehabilitation camp will inspire the common people to bring in street dogs, whoever need immediate attention. Not only this, in this event there will be approximately 50 pups between 3 to 12 months for adoption, which is a big plus point. Apart from these, there will also be an awareness session on animal welfare laws and obedience training for making sure that any individual who is adopting the dog is able to get assistance as to how to welcome the new family member.
At the same time, this would also be the perfect opportunity for contributing towards good causes. It is an initiative to protect the street dogs from scorching heat, rain and winter. So hurry up and get ready for the Dog Marathon in Pune and be a part of the good cause.
