We all enjoy music invariable of our age, caste, creed or race, and it is one healer that can cure all ailments. However, now you can enjoy music for a cause as the Sangitanjali is now organizing a charity music concert for the cause of the autism effected children.

The music concert,”Jhankar 2014,” featuring two pioneering singers, Roop Kumar and Sunali Rathod would take place at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Auditorium, Koti on 5th July, 2014.

Sunali and Roop Kumar Rathod are the melodious and vocally gifted artists in the world of Indian music. Combining the dhrupad, kirana gharana, tabla and ghazal with world music influences, they weave together the musical forms that have shaped them as great vocalists. Firmly grounded in Hindustani classical music, the duo are renowned to add their own unique mix of numerous genres, which make their performances unique.

At the “Jhankar 2014,” these beautiful singers would be performing some soul soothing voice that would leave the audience enchanted and craving for more. A charity concert, the event would be an ideal place to engage in some music and charity, both of which would lift up the human spirits.

Roop Kumar and Sunali Rathod the melodious duo, united by their passion for music have been fascinating people with their soul rendering voices for many years now.  If songs like  Tere Liye from Veer Zara, Maula Mere Maula from Anwar and Tuj Mein Rab Dikhta Hai from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, is what most would recognize Roop Kumar for, few would know that he also is a repertoire of music including Ghazals, Bhajans, Sufi, Light Classical music.

So, is the case with his beautiful wife  Sunali Rathod who shot to fame with her solo Ghazaal album, called Aghaaz,which was followed by several other hit songs including a few Bollywood playback numbers.
