The term mind map was coined and popularized by British Psychologist, author and television personality Tony Buzan. Buzan’s specific approach, and the popularization of the term “mind map” happened during a television show in 1974 BBC TV called Use Your Head. In this show, and his other companion book series, Buzan promoted his conception of radial tree, diagramming keywords in a colorful, radiant, tree-like structure.
